Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the Kingdom.
Unguarded Christians could incur a deep cost for their casual approach. Casual Christians seek Jesus for position, pleasure, or prosperity. Position seekers participate for the post. It is a social endeavor to show attendance. Pleasure seekers participate for the performance. Religious tourists are only interested in sensational entertainment or emotional excitement. (A church that entertains the unconverted is in opposition to God.) Prosperity seekers participate for the perks. “If I give a dollar, I’m going to get back one-hundred!” Is a casual Christain even a Christian at all? “Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did” (1 John 2:6).
Pray for a moment by moment commitment.
