Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other.
Ephesians 4:32

The Samaritan would not have been considered a neighbor to the wounded Jewish traveler. Samaritans were hated by the Jews. The Samaritan showed compassion regardless. He offered the man medicine for his pain, bandaged him, and took him to safety. These acts began the restoration process of his body. Our compassion can also begin the restoration process for a person’s soul. Jesus can work through us to show His love and kindness.   The Kingdom is built when Christians start facing the pain of others and not turning away. The healing of hearts begins with compassion towards the hurting.

Are you forgiving enough to show compassion to those who have wronged you?
