Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Your confidence in Christ should never be circumstantial. If you are currently facing a complication, trust in the Lord with all your heart. Your own understanding of confounding circumstances will never be completely correct. The only reliable source of understanding is through God. Paul writes, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31). You may be facing a complicated situation now, but God has a reason.

As Christ followers, our path is promised.

Jacob was facing a complication when being chased by his brother, Esau (Genesis 32). Despite the severity of the circumstances, Jacob prayed that God would protect him. He concluded his prayer by declaring, “You have said, I will surely make you prosper” (Genesis 32:12).  Despite the struggle of Jacob’s current situation, he realized the importance of continued confidence in God during the complication. Jacob knew his path was promised. If you are facing adversity, remember to trust in the Creator of the universe and lean on His understanding; God is for you!
