A Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.
Four people approached the traveler on the road to Jericho (Luke 10:25-37). The first wounded and stole with the thought, “What is yours is mine, I will take it.” The priest and the Levite looked at the wounded traveler, passed him by, and thought, “What is mine is mine, I will keep it.” Finally, the least likely of help, a Samaritan came by and thought, “What is mine is yours, we can share it.” As Christians, we must find victory over indifference and become compassionate disciples. We never know who may be a wounded traveler, so we must treat everyone with the love of Christ.
