The benefit of physical exercise ends when our skin expires, but spiritual sculpting has permanent profits. The daily spiritual exercises we should be incorporating are giving, prayer, and fasting. Giving enhances our spiritual elasticity; it stretches us beyond our perceived charitable capabilities. Prayer is our spiritual cardiovascular workout; it gets our heart focused on the eternal. Fasting surges our spiritual strength; it forces us to be satisfied with spiritual sustenance.
Every spiritual exercise should be completed with endurance, intensity, purpose, and discipline. If we go into strict training, we will receive a crown that will last forever (1 Cor. 9:25).
