Lead us not into temptation.

We will all face trials. Trials meant to teach are from God. Trials meant to tempt are from Satan. God’s permission of temptation is an opportunity to prove our belief. Overcoming flesh temptation displays spiritual obedience. However, an inclination to sin should cause insecurity in ourselves. We should never desire temptation, but ask God to direct us away from it. When God does permit temptation, He always provides a way to persevere through it (1 Cor. 10:13).
Pray to be directed from temptation.
