For grace, you have been saved through faith.
A faith that cannot be validated cannot be reliable. Paul emphasizes the work of Christ in relation to faith. James emphasizes the work of the believer. “What good is it if someone has faith but not works” (James 2:14). There is no antagonism between faith and works. A decision to believe God declares devotion to good. Where is your devotion? It is dangerous to think you have saving faith when in God’s eyes it’s not genuine. Faith and works are two inseparable elements of salvation. Does your faith work?
Pray for genuine faith that is validated in works.
